IFoA annual report

Welcome to our annual report for 2024-2025, in which we share the notable achievements and steps we have taken towards our goal of advancing our organisation and the actuarial profession.

The introduction of Chartered Actuary status, for example, offers members a mark of distinction in the profession. It also reflects our heritage as a member organisation with a Royal Charter, and marks a significant point in our history.

An extended events portfolio, along with further engagement with practice boards and working parties, gives more members more opportunities to create connections and work together on the issues that matter most to them.

We continue to lead on building policy initiatives and thought leadership programmes that address core issues for the actuarial profession, including climate, pensions, and AI.

And we have developed a robust curriculum of resources that enable lifelong learning and continuing professional development, supporting learning journeys to qualification and beyond.

Assisting members with their regulatory requirements, and setting, protecting and promoting the high standards to which they are held, helps to safeguard the value of that qualification.

In this report, you will also read about projects that actively improve access to the profession through the IFoA Foundation, as well as other initiatives around diversity, equity and inclusion, mentoring, and partnership.

Finally, we share an insight into our work with The Actuary, its evolution in line with the needs of our members, and its expansion into additional digital channels and content.

We hope you enjoy finding out more about how we worked collectively throughout this past year, evolving and advancing the profession together.
